The
Passionists are a family of Roman Catholic religious vowed for
Gospel life and service. They are committed to keep alive in
people's hearts the memory of the Passion and sufferings of
Jesus.Founded in eighteenth century Italy by St. Paul of the
Cross, the Passionists have been evangelizers of the Good News
of God's love.
They came to North America in 1852. Presently they serve in
fifty countries where, with women's branches of the Passionist
family and laity, they carry on the Founder's dream of serving
the Gospel in poor and incommodious places.
