Summer Program

The summer program starts in West Virginia the third weekend in June and runs for eight weeks.

In August, the PVs do a two-week Peace Camp for children, based out of Our Lady of Monserrate Church in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

New volunteers are asked to begin with at least a two-week term of service in West Virginia or a one-week term in Bed-Stuy. Applications are due May 1.

Year-Long Program

The year-long programs start in late August with orientation. Applications are due April 1.

The year-long Passionist Volunteer is not placed in one agency, but rather is encouraged to have a diverse experience. Together with the PV staff and the volunteer community, the volunteer creates a schedule that provides a broad range of activities, thereby widening the scope of learning and understanding of the complex needs in the area served.
